Are you serious?

Better question, am I serious? Seriousness in the context of this discussion is not an affect or a demeanor. It is a current state.

When one is serious on their particular endeavor – they are all in. They carry that endeavor with them at all times. Waiting at the airport, while driving to work, while sitting on the toilet. To accomplish their goal, becomes their life mission.

This is their number one priority and everything else takes a back seat. What’s not a priority rots. Is this level of dedication needed for success? Is this the level of dedication needed for fame and riches? No. 

Success, fame, and riches desperately chase after the serious man or woman. They become a natural byproduct of that person’s seriousness.

Without experiencing seriousness, without having an internal inferno, the need to look under every leaf or filter through every puddle, a life truly is not experienced. Without being a raging Inferno and exploring the depths of your mission, life slips by. Time speeds up exponentially. Days are lost in seconds, years lost in what feels like a blink of an eye.

Without having been serious, is not to have experienced this life at all.
