Deep Explorations
By Dr Bae
Should You?
Should you listen to anything I have to say?
More importantly, should you do anything?
No, absolutely not. You should not do anything. Should is living up to an ideal.
One should meditate, one should work out in the morning, eat protein, pray, give charity.
These are all ideals. Anytime there is an ideal, there is an expectation. Every time that expectation is not met, there is pain.
If the should is let go, anything that happens is necessary. In reality humans only do what is necessary for them. Humans default to their defaults. In social groups they act and talk as they should or as they’re expected to. In the quiet of the night, they act as how they are. Deep inside a human is a reflection of how they act in solitude, when they are blind from the watchful eye of their peers or the cultural establishment.
When you release the should, you have a chance to see the thing for what it truly is. You can call a spade a spade. You see what truly matters and what has no significance. Without a should, without right or wrong, without judgment, without in groups or out groups, you can for once, see the world for what it truly is.
To answer the first question, regarding anything I write. If my words resonate with you, this is not my intention. This writing was not meant to be directed at you, or to convince you, or to make you feel one way or the other. It was simply written for the sake of exploration of the matter at hand. If this exploration resonates with you, the impetus was living within you long before I spoke these words.
