Living Without a To-do List
Life can be floated through.
One can exist like water, taking on physical forms of ice and vapor while maintaining elemental purity.
What would guide vapor? How does vapor know which way to go? Vapor follows the direction of its energy and molecules.
For most, especially those who are societal successful, life without things to do is terrifying.
The freedom to go where they haven’t been, to experience the world just as it is, can be paralyzing.
Needing goals, instructions, how-tos, and steps give their Mind structure on which they can function. Otherwise their Mind might run them amuck.
Watching TV all day, while uninspiring, is doing something for the Mind. Is there anything wrong in this? Absolutely not. But the need for something to do is a societal existence, its a regression the mean.
The spirit operates from a different place. The spirit operates not from a place of structure, but from a place of freedom and understanding. It doesn’t need to be told what to do, when to do it, or how to do it.
Observe a beaver. It doesn’t need to read an instruction manual on how to build a dam. It’s an instinctual work of genius engineering.
The spirit lives in this way. It follows a knowledge that is presented to it by the universe.
I once feared what I would do without a plan or a to-do list on a day off. After an intentional structure of a day without any planned, no responsibilities, I wasn’t just surprised, I was hooked. My spirit led me through all the things that I wanted to do in the day, in way that was optimized for me. Not only was it productive on paper, but the day passed with ease.
No stress, anxiety, instruction, or motivation required.
